I am taking online courses right now for 3 different things. I am doing Medical Transcription, medical claims and billing, medical and dental assistant. I think that Medical Transcription is a pretty good job. You can also work from home doing this. I think that Pharmacy Tech would be cool too. But i chose the transcription cause I am a Stay at home mom and I want to be that way until all my children are in school. So as being a transcriptionist I can do that. Good luck on your decision!

A lot of medical transcriptionsists have been replaced with voice recognition. Many others have been replaced with overseas hiring faxing the finished papers to the desks of the doctors here overnight, so when they come to work, the job is already finished.
You must be a perfectionist, fast accurate typist, and organized to even get an interview.
